Sadie –
Mom noticed last night that you were sick. She took your temperature and it was a little over 100 degrees. That, of course, means that you did not go to school today. Instead you spent the first half of the day with me, going to see the doctor – he revealed that you have a common virus that causes sore throat and fever – and the second half of the day relaxing at home with mommy.
You have been pretty lethargic today due to your sickness, but you mustered enough energy this morning before mom left for work to laugh very hard at her dancing skills! I turned on an old Dire Straits song and when mom started goofily shaking around, you got caught in a fit of laughter.
They do say that laughter is good medicine…
