Today is Easter Sunday, a day that we set aside every year to make special celebration about Jesus' ressurection. People usually dress up a little nicer than usual and get together with family to eat a big meal. We did all of those things.
In fact, a few weeks ago, mom made a special trip to the store to buy you some clothes and found a dress just for today. It is gold and poofy and beatiful and you got many compliments on it from your friends at church.
Mom also took some time to put together some special presents for you called an "Easter basket." There were plastic eggs, a bubble wand, a lady bug purse, hair clips, a dress and a hat. A lot of the things you won't be able to truly appreciate for awhile (especially the hair clips!), but mom wanted to start a tradition on your first Easter that will carry on for most of your childhood.
